The Department of Entrepreneurship and Management (EM) and iTIC, IIT Hyderabad in association with Zinnov is organizing the “THE INDIAN TECH START-UP LANDSCAPE REPORT 2023: A Debriefing Session” on 20th March 2024. This session will center around the orientation of “Weathering the Challenges: The Indian Tech Start-up Landscape Report 2023” developed by Zinnov and nasscom. The session will entail a report read out by Vikalp Sharm (Engagement Manager, Zinnov) followed with a fireside chat between Dr. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science of Technology (DST), Government of India and Dipanwita Ghosh (Principal, Zinnov).

The Indian tech start-up ecosystem, ranked 3rd globally, exhibited resilience despite facing challenges in 2023 due to a global economic slowdown. Funding plummeted by 67%, reaching ~USD 6 Bn, with a significant drop in deal volumes and late-stage investments. However, amidst these challenges, positive trends emerged, including a heightened focus on business fundamentals and a notable shift towards DeepTech. Our webinar presents key insights from our annual report, offering a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the Indian tech start-up ecosystem.
