Time and again, India has proven its salt as one of the best destinations to set up a Global Center of Excellence. The current Indian GCC market size is USD 35.9 Bn, employing more than 1.38 Mn people as FY2021. In the first quarter of 2022 alone, 20 new GCCs were added to the list – out of which 19 were set up in Tier-I cities, and 1 in a Tier-II city. Albeit slowly, Tier-II cities of India are proving to be good bets to set up a GCC, and sometimes even better than a Tier-I counterpart.
