These three have always moved together. What’s new is the pace, and the order. AI has pushed GCC work up the value chain faster than any shift before it: complex problem solving is now 38.1% of the portfolio, and frontier R&D has doubled. The worker has been rebuilt around that work, with skills baseline today that weren’t in job descriptions three years ago, and India’s GCC AI talent pool crossing 250,000.

This report titled, “The Great Workplace Reset: How India GCCs are Redefining Work, Worker, and Workspace”, a joint study by Zinnov and Awfis, examines all three shifts as one system. It maps how the work has changed, drawing on 1.7 million+ job descriptions across 2,117 GCCs, and where AI builders place their hardest problems.
