Zinnov’s latest Salary Increase, Hiring and Attrition report highlights a strategic shift in India’s GCC ecosystem, with specialized AI and digital roles commanding salary premiums of 35-55% during job transitions. While core digital skills offer annual packages between INR 16-106 lakh, specialized AI expertise can earn professionals INR 26-152 lakh per annum. GCCs are addressing the talent gap by upskilling feeder roles like algorithm engineers and software developers into AI-focused positions, ensuring sustainable talent pipelines. 

The report underscores the growing influence of millennials and Gen Z, who make up 90% of the workforce and demand purpose-driven work alongside competitive pay. Reskilling and upskilling are emerging as top priorities, offering cost savings of 25-40% compared to external hiring. As competition for AI talent intensifies, companies must balance premium salaries with structured career development to attract and retain top talent. Despite cautious salary budget increases, strategic investments in AI capabilities and talent development are pivotal for success in 2025.
