Salaries in India’s Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are projected to rise by 9.8% in 2025, slightly up from 9.6% in 2024, according to the Salary Increase, Hiring and Attrition report recently released. Junior and mid-level roles will see the most growth, while senior-level compensation remains flat. AI-related positions are driving premium hikes, with emerging roles like GenAI product design and AI bias experts reshaping the talent market. Skilled AI professionals command salaries between ₹26 lakh and ₹1.5 crore, significantly higher than foundational digital roles.
Millennials and Gen Z, now 90% of the workforce, prioritize flexibility, growth, and skilling, prompting GCCs to offer comprehensive rewards packages. Sectors like software, BFSI, and automotive are expected to face high attrition rates in 2025. Amid economic challenges, GCCs are adopting long-term talent strategies while navigating gaps in AI expertise, reflecting a shift toward skill-critical compensation models and evolving workforce dynamics.
