Zinnov has conducted compensation surveys within the IT, semiconductor, analytics and BPO industries across emerging economies, including Brazil, Russia, India and China.

Zinnov uses the total pay approach for compensation analysis, which compiles fixed pay and variable pay information.  We analyze the market data using percentile positioning, including minimum, median, maximum and average data.

We have built complex compensation models that also allow us to forecast compensation trends based on market compensation trends and talent supply/demand across emerging countries.

For each of the benchmarked position, Zinnov assesses the following :

Methodology

Zinnov follows a six-step approach, illustrated in the diagram below, to conduct the study:

  • The compensation survey ensures that only the right companies are targeted for benchmarking.
  • Unique positions are identified and detailed job descriptions are developed for the benchmarking exercise.
  • A job matching exercise is conducted based on incumbent’s key responsibilities, knowledge & skills, span of control, educational qualification, years of experience and reporting structure.
  • A custom-developed compensation analysis data modeler is used to collate gathered data and provide the client with a specific in-depth analysis.
  • The total pay approach for cash compensation analysis is used, compiling fixed pay, variable pay and quantified benefits into cash value.
  • The market data is analyzed using percentile positioning, including minimum, median, maximum and average data.
