As part of Zinnov’s Globalization Council meetings, we are hosting a Shared Services Event on Thursday, December 10, 2009 in Houston.


Having achieved offshoring maturity in IT, energy companies are now leveraging their learning and expanding steadily in the Shared Services domains.


Organizations today, in order to gain cost advantages and leverage experienced talent in offshore locations are transitioning critical functions such as F&A, HR, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, Services and Support. Many technology companies that have initiated global shared services have already seen significant success.
We have defined the following agenda to discuss the emerging global models and present the analytical tools to assist in better planning and optimizing your Shared Services initiatives.

 'Shared Services Organization Model'
The Shared Services operations of large MNCs extends advantages of branding by giving organization-wide benefits like cost, talent, process improvement, service delivery etc. Thus it is pivotal for firms to design a strategic model to organize their Shared Services activities. A model that can combine multiple cross functions affords distinct financial advantages, and further adds to the benefits of building functional centers of excellence such as F&A, HRO etc. In this discussion, we will examine the quantitative and qualitative benefits that can be drawn by combining several functional streams into an overarching Shared Service Center of Excellence.
